Safety is the first priority of the dojo. All rules are meant to keep the students from getting injured and contribute to their success in the art of Jujitsu
- Students should never use any techniques not previously explained by an instructor. Many techniques, if done incorectly, can injure the student or his training partner.
- Students should not engage in Randori (sparring) without the supervision of an instructor or senior student.
- Students should cooperate with their training partener. Resisting a technique or twisting out of a throw often result in injury. Students must learn to go with the flow of a technique. Students are trained to fall properly.
- Students should use control when executing techniques. Students should always control their partner's fall.
- Students should be aware of their surroundings so as not to run into other people or throw their partners off the training mat.
- Students should respect and obey instructors and higher ranks and seek to train with higher ranking students as often as they can.
- All injuries must be reported to the instructor
- Show up on time to class
- Do not wear jewelry
- Students should not chew gum or eat during class
- Keep your gi clean and in good repair
- Maintain the highest degree of personal cleanliness. Jujitsu is a contact sport.
- Keep your fingernails and toenails clipped and filed to avoid scratching others.
